It is interesting to see the difference between the work ethics in different continents. After finishing the task with Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Turkey, the boss approached me and asked, "You know what? Britton would have taken two days to accomplish covering ten countries, not including Russian with its eleven (!) time zones. How do you do that?" I could not tell that I simply do not like to delay the task, be behind the schedule and that I like to finish things soon so I do not have to stay long in the office or continue on the next day.
Instead, I answered "I start with the farthest, like Vladivostok in Far East Russia and finish with Dublin in Ireland." The boss looked at me and said that I possess something they do not, like approach techniques. Whatever it is that I possess let's leave it here.
Later in the day I met with Rudolf. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL NAMES IN ALL OF MY BLOG ENTRIES ARE CHANGED FOR THE PRIVACY PURPOSES. Rudolf is one of the pioneer special effects professionals with big credits. Anyway, we have had a very interesting conversation and I kept looking at his lips. I kept saying in my mind that he had 'kissilicious' lips. Well, indeed, he has and my friends tend to agree as well when they saw his pictures. I have realized that I have missed a nice and mind challenging talk. It was raining and I was glad that it was. I will not write why...
